The Beach
Blue Waters has one of the rarest things a seaside house can offer: a garden gate that opens straight onto the beach. No road, no promenade, just lawn, shingle, and the sea.
From the garden to the sea
The walk takes seconds, but the feeling lasts all day. Down the lawn, through the arch at the bottom of the garden, and out onto the quiet shingle shore.
Step off the lawn
The garden ends at a gate that leads directly onto the beach. There's no road to cross and no distance to carry chairs, buckets, or a picnic.
The beach itself
East Preston's beach is a classic south-coast, clean, quiet pebble beach. The water is calm enough for a paddle most days, and the groynes make natural pools for children to explore at low tide.
Tide in, tide out
At high tide the waves lap the shingle; at low tide the beach stretches out and the groynes appear, perfect for rock-pooling and wandering.
All day, every day
Swim before breakfast, build castles after lunch, and watch the sun drop over the water with a drink in hand.
Big skies and little boats
The beach changes with the weather and the tide — dramatic skies and empty stretches of pebble one day, fishing boats pulled up on the shore the next.

Turn around on the pebbles and you will see Blue Waters framed through an arch of Tamarisk giving the feeling of a view into a secret garden.
A private world by the shore
From here, you can see why the house feels so secluded: the bushes and trees run down either side of the garden all the way to the beach, which lies just beyond a wall of tamarisk. It is a rare combination of shelter and open sea.
Sea views from the house
Even when you're not on the sand, the sea is always present. The sound of the waves carries through the garden, and the changing light on the water is visible from the lawn and the house.
